Hyde Home Tour

In the Orson Hyde home there is a "Signature" quilt.  That means it has the signatures of those who worked on it.  This is a replica of one that the church owns.  The signatures are reproduced but look like the actual autographs of those seen here.
I'm a little in awe of some of these women.
Lucy Smith
Bathsheba Smith
Leonora Taylor
Phebe Woodruff
Eliza R. Snow
Mary Fielding
And Emma Smith
One of Orson's wives was a seamstress and some of her work is shown here.
Orson didn't live in this house very much as he was off on multiple missions.  It was one of the few homes built by the church for another.  It is also interesting that he had two wives living under the same roof.
A map of the Holy Land.
I painted these rooms with the help of others.
Although I didn't touch this fireplace.  It was painted in the shop by Flanders and Mensel.
Jared's handiwork with the smoke.
The north room upon entering is going to be interactive.  I didn't paint the blue wall.  That was Jared.
The well housing outside.
It was built by these two handsome faces.
